50cc scooters have an engine size that classifies them as small motorcycles or mopeds at the limit between the vehicle category and moped classes. Regulations vary betweenmany countries of the world, when it comes to the right to drive 50cc scooters with or without a driving license and common terms are seldom made. For example, in some EU countries you can ride such motorcycles without a driving license. The exceptions are France and Italy, where you need a car driving license to ride vehicles up to 125cc. There is quite a high level of legal ambiguity for the definition and classification of scooters.

Getting commercial vehicle insurance is a necessary expense for any business that uses vehicles for commercial purposes. Unlike regular auto insurance, commercial insurance for vehicles is used not for private purpose but strictly for business. This is to protect against accidents, theft, fire incident or liability that may be incurred in an accident during the normal course of business.

The web changed the way we shop for car insurance. We used to take a walk through the Yellow Pages. Sometimes an agent or broker would actually come to our home in hopes of lining us up for the full package of insurance products: life, automobile and home. But those days are long gone when it comes to vehicle insurance. Like electricity and water, vehicle insurance has become a regular commodity. Once the first broker put an Instant Quote feature for car insurance up on its website, the game was over. Now the majority of us get quotes on the internet, even if we don’t actually buy auto insurance.

There’s no denying that we’re in a deep economic slump. Unemployment rates have passed the 8.5% mark for the first time since the early Eighties. The financial institutions – banks and insurance companies – hog the bail-out trough. And second to them are the automakers. All of this complicates the issues that must be taken into account when making tough economic decisions for your business, including tasks like shopping for business auto insurance.

The car insurance business has been forever changed by the Internet. In fact, the business today bears little resemblance to what it was before the Information Age first dawned in 1992. Before the World Wide Web took over, most people settled in with one company and stuck with them for home and auto insurance. Not so today. The churn numbers due to being able to get auto insurance quotes online continue to diverge from home – auto combos with the same company.
