Motorcycle insurance is considered “high risk” for factors you may not think about everyday. Remove the stereotype about a typical biker with long hair and a cutthroat and angry attitude. No matter what age, size, or type of personality, motor bikes are dangerous and that’s the primary reason they are labeled “high risk.”

Any car lover would tell you that there is absolutely nothing like driving around the city in a sports car. The thought of driving an expensive racing car excites most men and inspires a great sense of freedom and adventure. The rush of adrenalin associated with driving a stylish racing car is unmatched. But sports cars don’t come cheap and usually, neither does their insurance coverage.

You came up with the bright idea of trading in your car for a motorcycle. It’s a smart move right? Save on gas, repairs, upkeep, and emissions, right? While you will save on all those aspects of owning a motor vehicle, you may however not save on insurance. Motorcycle insurance is very expensive unfortunately.

Michigan auto insurance is a lot different from insurance elsewhere in the United States. Required by law in Michigan, no fault insurance has three basic parts. These are personal injury protection, property protection insurance and residual liability insurance (bodily injury and property damage coverage). If you want to register a car in Michigan, auto insurance has to be purchased, and you have to prove that you have it. Like most other places in the US, driving a car without insurance is against the law.
