A LA injury attorney has to handle many cases, but more often than not, when handling accident victims concerning ATV’s, it can be pretty serious. All terrain vehicles (ATV’s) can be great fun to ride and there's nothing better than off-roading or nature trailing in a purpose built car. They're often used as working cars and are especially popular in farming communities when farmlands cover massive areas. However in the state of California alone, from the period of 1982 thru to 2008, there were 516 fatalities, and additionally annoying is that between 1982 and 2004, 95 of these deaths were kids below the age of sixteen and this is on the rise

So what's the legal ATV driving age in California? A LA injury counsel explains:

No persons under the age of 18 are permitted to drive an ATV on public land. However children can legally drive, on the proviso that they're with an adult over the age of 18 who holds a safety certificate. In this example in the state of California, they have to be fourteen years or over and under stern supervision of an adult. As you can imagine an ATV has four wheels and a forceful engine, yet it is true that any responsible adult would not let a fourteen year old behind the wheels of a car. So why would you let a kid drive an all terrain vehicle?

In general ATV’s are not permitted on the roads, and this is why the law states that minors are able to drive all terrain cars. The age limits change relying upon which state you reside in.

So why has there been a Rise in fatalities?

Pros agree that one of the most important reasons for a rise in fatalities involving ATV’s is that the manufacturers are now making automobiles that are stronger, heavier and stronger, and since many minors and indeed young adults aren't used to handling autos of this magnitude then it can be fairly simply an accident waiting to occur. On top of this, many govt officers say that there is a struggle between the makers who are consistently looking to break the bounds of design and make the most powerful machines, and the government who is looking to raise the legal age driving limit for ATV’s. Up to date studies by independent bodies have said that drivers below the age of 15 are two times as likely to lose control of their vehicles as a grown-up.

The downcast thing is that in several states there isn't any legal minimum age requirement, when operating an ATV and children as young as eight and 9 can legally ride these machines. In numerous states there also are no safety helmet laws. Fortunately California is one of the luckier ones, but having mentioned that, over eighteen deaths a year in CA is still far too high.

So what are the main wounds received when caught up in an ATV accident and what causes them?

The main reason wounds occur when driving ATVs takes place when the vehicle impacts with another automobile or object and flips over. This may result in serious head and spinal wounds. In reality a LA injury barrister explains that around seventy five percent of all ATV accidents are serious enough to warrant a lengthened stay in hospital. Reasons for this should be down to disproportionate speed, not paying attention to the instant surroundings, unwarranted alcohol and even horse play. On top of this, the number of folks who don't wear a safety helmet is alarmingly high.

So what steps can be brought to prevent accidents?

Many dealers and makers offer training classes on how to properly ride an ATV, but as yet a vast majority of folks select not to attend. It won't be long before regulations start to come in and therefore the administration may make driver training compulsory. It also should be made law that folks (particularly minors under sixteen) be made to wear a safety helmet. By making folk more aware about the dangers of not wearing a helmet, it might drive the point home Also younger generations and amateur fans should all ride ATV’s that are not as powerful, and will be monitored at all times by an authorized adult. Right now incredibly there is no power limit for minor drivers in the state of California and only common sense prevails.

If you or somebody that you know has been concerned and injured in an ATV or vehicle accident, then you may well be entitled to monetary compensation. If you talk to a Los Angeles injury lawyer who specializes in ATV related accidents, they'll do everything in their power to supply the victim, the compensation they deserve.

Hugio Mulroney has consulted with a truck accident attorney when he was riding an ATV in West Covina and crashed it. His LA injury attorney was able to help him navigate the laws and rules surrounding ATV laws.

As the popularity of ATVs has soared, many families have taken an opportunity to purchase one to help turn their time outdoors into an adventure. However many families only purchase one all terrain vehicle for their exploration. The introduction of side by side into the market has made it possible for these families to explore their environment in comradeship with each other.

ATVs have long been popular ways to travel off-road. But before, each person had to have their own vehicle, or wait long periods while one person used the 4 wheeler. Now they can enjoy the companionship of others as they explore the great outdoors.

Having to return to a base camp each time something was discovered can be time-consuming and cumbersome. Being able to share time on the UTV has made it possible to immediately share discoveries. Being able to talk to another person about what you have seen as is being seen can make the experience even better.

One person does not have to wait behind and wonder when it will be their turn. Two people can sit next to each other and enjoy the exact same sights. They do not have to constantly return and cover the same territory back and forth.

The enjoyment of sitting with someone as you experience nature can make the experience an even better one. The whole experience can change because you now have someone with you. Sharing time outdoors can bring a relationship closer together.

Because the passenger is seated directly next to the driver there is no need for the driver to constantly try to speak over their shoulder to another person. This helps them keep their eyes on the road and make the trip safer. This also frees the passenger from the constraints of having to constantly hold on to the person in front of them and allows them to make better observations and navigation of their journey.

Because an UTV may be used to explore an unknown area, the driver may feel it is necessary to return to the other people in their party to tell them that they are okay. When using a these vehicles the other people in the party can know that no one is alone, and the driver may not feel it is necessary to return as often. This can enhance the experience as a group may be able to explore further than they would have been able to otherwise.

Because these new UTVs have become so popular it is very easy for someone to find exactly what they are looking for. Many dealerships that carry Side by Sides have these other 4wd vehicles and can help a prospective owner find the one that is right for them. There are even many options available on these utility vehicles that can fit almost any situation.

So many options are available that it may be very difficult for someone to decide exactly what they want. Luckily not only will dealerships answer questions but the Internet also makes it possible for someone to do their own research about available options. A prospective owner may even know someone who has recently purchased one of these vehicles and they can ask them questions about the options they have chosen.

These popular machines have been able to elevate exploration to new heights. The beauty and joy that can be found in nature can now be found together. The curiosity that we as humans have about our environment can be fulfilled as people discover both the beauty of nature and the beauty of friendship. The versatility of ATVs has only been enhanced by the introduction of a side by side vehicles into the mix. This enhancement has made it possible for people to have an even more satisfying experience in the great outdoors.

All terrain vehicles are usually referred to as ATVs. They are also called quads, quad bikes, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers. Some are for recreation, others for utility purposes. There are two basic types. Type I is for the operator only. Type II is for the operator and 1 passenger. They are designed for off the road use only. The seat of ATVs are similar to a motorcycle seat. It has to be straddled by the vehicle operator. Another similarity to a motorcycle are the handle bars for steering. They are designed to be driven, or operated, on rugged territory unsuitable for automobiles.

The amphibious six-wheeler came into being in the 1950s. In 1970, Honda introduced the official first three-wheeled ATV. It was named the ATC90, with C being the abbreviation for cycle. It was strictly for recreational purposes. By 1975, due to it’s fuel economy engine, it began to be used for farm work. Yamaha followed suit with its version in 1979.

In the 1980′s, they grew in popularity for multipurpose usage. Ranchers, construction workers, and hunters began seeing their value. No longer were they just for recreation, but a valuable aid to workers. In 1981, Kawasaki also began manufacturing a three-wheeler. In 1982, Honda’s “Big Red”, proved itself as a big help to farmers. It’s sealed rear brakes made it suitable for use in mud and water. The improved front suspension provided a more comfortable ride. Suzuki introduced it’s first three-wheeler, and the first four-wheeled model in 1983.

Honda’s “Big Red” was born in 1982. Its 5 speed engine, sealed rear brakes, and dual range gearbox made it the workers’ favorite. Suzuki presented its first three-wheeled model, and the first four-wheeler, in 1983. Also in 1983, the SVIA was founded by the Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha companies of the United States. It’s purpose is the promotion of safety through education and rider training. Honda’s first four-wheeler came out in 1984. It was the highest sales year ever for Honda. 1985 was the first year for Kawasaki’s four-wheeler, the Bayou.

Three-wheelers were lightweight, fast, and fun to ride. But being lightweight, and having a single wheel in front, they flipped backward easily. Fatal, and near fatal accidents led to legal battles. In 1987, the preliminary Consent Decree was signed by the manufacturers and the CPSC. For the next ten years, none were manufactured. And none are manufactured in the U. S. At the present.

In 1991, the first automatic model, the Yamaha Breeze, became available. In the mid 1990′s, Artic Cat introduced its first model. ATV Magazine’s first ATV of the year award went to Japanese Kawasaki’s fully automatic Prairie 400 in 1997.

In 2001, Arctic Cat began producing ATVs for Massey Ferguson Farm Equipment Company. In 2003, nearly 900,000 ATVs were sold in the U. S. The first type II was placed on the U. S. Market by BRP and Arctic Cat in 2005. The first model with electronic power steering was Yamaha’s Grizzly 700 of 2006.

All terrain vehicles continue to be a popular item with many adults and children. Whether for recreation or work, the sales remain lucrative. Safety of operation remains of great importance. The SVIA continues to offer training in attempt to foster rider responsibility. Dealerships are monitored for adherence to age and size guidelines. The American Academy of Pediatrics encourages law makers to forbid sales to persons under sixteen years of age.

Need something to keep you at the front of the pack like a Sport UTV to use strictly for play? Try Riders Wholesale. They have the best warranty on their All Terrain Utility Vehicle models that you can find.

There is a growing number of UTV owners that absolutely love to ride them. Motorcycles and ATV’s tend to really be rough on the riders and are small machines that are used just for recreation. A Off Road Vehicle can provide it’s owner with recreational use as well as becoming a workhorse on the farm or jobsite.

Many important safety features have been added to these awesome machines. Roll cages protect you if roll over, and seatbelts should be worn at all times. Many of these have half doors and shoulder cages as well to help keep the rider inside the cockpit.

Most UTV brands are 4wd and come with an automatic transmission so they are simple to operate. Just shift the transmission into Hi Low or Reverse and go. The foot controls are just as simple with only a gas pedal and brake pedal to operate. If you are a large rider, it is a good idea to check out the leg room offered by different brands to get the most comfortable ride.

Being friendly to the rider is making these machines very popular to people just getting into motorsports. Smooth shocks absorb the beating that the trail can dish out, but there is also the creature comforts. The nicest units we have found being manufacturered have bucket seats that are adjustable as well as 12v plug ins and lots of storage in the bed or under the seats.

Some good options to have on a UTV that come highly recommended are a windshield to keep the air off on you on those cold mornings, and a rugged tear resistant top to shelter you from the sun and rain. These utility vehicles can take you to over some pretty rough terrain, so consider mounting a remote control winch to get you out of any sticky situations if you plan on riding hard.

Shopping for a UTV for sale can be difficult with all the choices out there. Just look at the list of credible manufacturers found on the search engines. Kubota, Bobcat, Hisun, Benneche, CanAm, RedLine, Ruesh, Honda, Husqvarna, Kymco USA, Cub Cadet, Bushhog, John Deere, Kazuma, Dirmo, Pug, Tomcat, Qlink, Yamaha, Polaris, Kawasaki, Artic Cat, and BamX. Prices vary as well as warranty and standard options.

Do your research when purchasing a UTV for sale be sure and do your homework. If you are looking, start here with a UTV.

Any ride on a motorcycle is bound to be one of the greatest thrills you may ever experience. Very different from the sheltered environment of a regular vehicle, a motorcycle allows you to feel the power of the engine directly below you and you can’t get much closer to the earth beneath you either. With a good set of Dunlop motorcycle tires for a smooth ride, no other experience can compare.

It is also an experience that can end your life when the proper caution is not used. By making safety your top priority as a motorcyclist, you can keep yourself and other motorists on the road free from harm by following this list of safety tips.

1. Consistently make sure your tires are inflated properly If you want to get the most out of your tires for as long as time as possible, you want to fill your tires to the suggested air pressure that is imprinted on the tires. In the case that more than one tire pressure is indicated, you should go by the top number.

Good tire pressure helps you to maintain control while operating your motorcycle. Under-inflated tires are a hazard; but the good news is that checking your tire pressure on a regular basis will help you to recognize when your tires have naturally lost some pressure, and you can increase the pressure to a safer degree.

2. Always test your brake lever to ensure that the brakes are functioning properly. The lever should never get within less than half an inch to your grip, this will help prevent something from snagging on it or otherwise impairing your ability to stop. On the other hand, a lever that moves too far may indicate air in the brake fluid. Any of the above problems should be corrected before attempting to ride.

3. Do not allow distractions to steal your focus. Even something as seemingly insignificant as listening to the radio can become a safety hazard when driving in conditions that require good focus, such as during bad weather or in heavy traffic.

4. Riding in a group can make for a great trip, just keep your sites on the lead bike and maintain a safe riding distance between you and the bike in front of you. Too short a distance between bikes, or getting out of sync with your riding party can both result in accidents – some of which could be fatal.

Of course, you should take the time to learn everything you can about motorcycle riding, since this article can’t possible cover all essential safety topics. Beginners should sign up and go through a motorcycle riding course prior to getting on their bikes. The suggestions listed here are simply aspects to riding that are often neglected, even by experienced riders. Take these tips to heart, stick to the rules of the road, and enjoy safe riding.

Keeping your car’s tires maintained is a task that is usually dismissed by car owners. Instead of upgrading to a set of say Fuzion tires most people as long as they are not flat, are content to just leave them and not pay much attention to them.

But take a moment to think about this: the tires are the only part of your car that actually comes into contact with the road, this makes them extremely important when it comes to safety. When you’re looking to buy a new set of tires you really need to take the style of tire into consideration. Not to mention that if you know what the right kind of tire is for your car you’ll be able to quickly replace them should you ever suffer a blowout or other issue.

Learning which tires are the proper tires for your vehicle means that you will need to do a bit of research. To begin with, find out the size tires your car takes. To determine this info, you can simply locate the numbers on the side of the tires that are on your vehicle right now. You will see the serial number and the size of the tire in inches.

Most cars will use 13 to 17 inch tires, trucks and SUVs tend to use a slightly larger size of about 22 inches. The size is important so that it fits the rims and wheel wells that control your tires.

The internet is a good place to start when you want to compare brands. There are also a number of consumer product testing websites out there that can help you find the most durable and reliable brand of tire. You can usually rely on your local auto center to have the type of tire you need in stock, or at least know where you can go to get it. You could also speak to an auto mechanic that you trust and get his or her opinion on which style of tire would be best for your vehicle.

Once your new tires are installed you need to make sure that you maintain them properly. Regular tire rotations are a must, you should do this every 3,000 to 5,000 miles or can choose to do so whenever you have your oil changed.

Tire rotations safeguard that your treads work evenly, thus providing you with an extremely strong grip on the road. You should look over your tires every now and then, as well. Watch out for any protruding lumps or protuberances in the rubber. These are indications that hint an old tire that needs replaced, or else it could result in a blowout.

Seth has written other articles in addition to tires. Be sure to check out either cheap SUV tires or 4×4 acessories!

For Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, a world-wide rubber and tire maker known for tires like the Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor, the number 13 was very good luck. In the year Eighteen Hundred and Ninety Eight (1898), Frank Seiberling who was a U.S. inventor, formed the company Bicycle tires, carriage tires, horseshoe pads and poker chips were the original products for the cutting edge company and all of the thirteen hardworking original employees contributed greatly to the production process which took place in their beloved Akron, Ohio production plant.

There has never been any connection between Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and Charles Goodyear, who invented vulcanized rubber in 1839. However, the decision was made by Mr. Seiberling to commemorate Mr. Goodyear and name the company after his profound contribution to the rubber and automobile industry.

Ford Motor Company was heavily involved in the upstart auto racing sport and they approached Mr. Seiberling to provide the tires needed for the race cars and this is when the big break came for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company supplied the tires for Ford’s Model T car, which was Henry Ford’s remarkable new vehicle that he envisioned as the car for the masses. History provides us with the interesting story that was to come. They became a leading international organization in 1909, when Goodyear Tire and Rubber started building tires for airplanes.

By nineteen hundred and twenty six, Goodyear Tire and Rubber was clearly the largest tire manufacturer in the world. At that time, the racing tires which Goodyear had produced created its fame and the reason that most people knew Goodyear was for Goodyear Tires. Having achieved a high profile recognition due to the renown and popularity of the Goodyear tires, the company rose to a new level of growth and production.

Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, now a multinational corporation, branched out into other areas. In Ohio in 1956, Goodyear began operation of a nuclear processing plant. A Goodyear subsidiary formed in the 1970s known as Goodyear Aerospace Corporation, from the aircraft designing and manufacturing, Goodyear Aircraft Company, was responsible for the crafting and manufacturing of the space shuttle. As was the trend among other companies, Goodyear Converted their first facility in Akron into a design and research Technical Center, at considerable cost.

Over the decades, Goodyear has been responsible for a great number of successful inventions and innovations. Goodyear now stands as a true global conglomerate, and one which has delved into a wide range of very profitable and significant ventures.

Goodyear currently finds themselves third on the list of the world’s top tire manufacturers, behind Michelin and Bridgestone. It should come as no surprise, then, that individuals looking to purchase tires, will likely consider Goodyear as one of their prime choices.

A fear of every car owner is the day he or she will have car trouble and have to replace parts of the engine that are located under the hood. That’s easy to understand. There’s always a substantial repair bill to be paid when an alternator, catalytic converter, fuel pump, or any of the car’s other components needs to be replaced.

But a “part” that is often overlooked, yet is intimately connected with the safety of the passengers, are the tires. Tires that are dangerously worn can be the cause of an accident.

I will give you some simple hints in this article that will help you to be sure your tires are reliable and will also extend their life. It just takes a little time and effort once in a while to follow these hints. A few minutes spent regularly in checking your tires will help ensure the safety of you and any other riders in your car.

Step One: Make sure your tires are at the right pressure.

A lack of air pressure is the most common cause of tire failure. You may not realize it, but a minute amount of air continuously leaks out between the membranes of the tires. You can’t notice the loss of pressure in just a few days or weeks. But the loss is substantial over a period of several months.

Under inflated tires make your car slower to respond on steering as well as reducing your fuel efficiency. The reduced pressure can also create a safety hazard as the treads may begin to separate.

You should check the pressure in the tires every month. When it gets low, add enough air to get the pressure back to the tire’s recommended psi.

Step Two: Check the alignment.

When a car is out of alignment it does not take long for excess tread wear to develop. The alignment involves the angles of your wheels. You car will pull to one side when you are driving straight if the camber, caster or toe are not properly aligned. Front-wheel drive cars with poor alignments will see the most wear and damage on the front tires.

People tend to ignore their tires until the treads are so worn that they must be replaced because failure could happen at any moment. But these suggestions will help you prevent that. You car will be safer for taking the time to do these things. In addition to increasing your car’s safety, you will also enjoy improved responsiveness and you will even save some money on gas.

Have you ever found yourself on the side of the road with a flat tire, and not been able to fix it because you were missing the proper tools? If you don’t have your cell phone with you, or have traveled quite a distance from your home, this scenario can be quite distressing. Even if you do have your cell phone, there are many areas where a signal is not available. There is one thing that cannot be disputed, a tire iron is required to loosen the lug nuts, and you must be able to loosen the lug nuts to change your tire. Even if you have a nice set of Goodyear wrangler silent armor tires, the best of tires can still give out on you.

Hopefully this will never happen to you, but one way to protect yourself and your family is to carry a tire iron and all the necessary tools you would need to repair your vehicle. Some good things to include in your emergency tool kit are items like vice grips, a variety of different screw drivers, flares, jumper cables, a flashlight and extra batteries.

Having your car towed, or requesting that an individual equipped with the right tools come out and repair your flat tire, can be quite expensive. By stowing the necessary tools in their car, a great number of individuals could keep more money in their pocket.

When searching for a good emergency tool kit for your vehicle you’ll want to make sure you’re getting the right kind of tools. This also means finding the right kind of tire iron as well.

Having the wrong model will make repair jobs much more difficult if not impossible and will take more time. If you do not know what kind of tool you need, speak to a service agent at your local auto parts store to get the correct information.

Purchasing a tire iron set may be prudent. Along with changing tires, a tire iron set will be useful for other types of auto repairs. A tire iron set will typically include two shorter irons, along with one long one. During the tire changing process, you can utilize the tire iron set for a number of things.

Being stranded on the side of a strange road is dangerous and inconvenient. Protect yourself and your passengers by carrying the tools necessary to make these repairs in the event that you experience car failure or other emergencies.
