Removing A Yamaha R6 Fairing

Posted by Thomas Clausen on August 26, 2009

If you have ever ridden a motorcycle, and I am talking any motorcycle, for any type of extended ride or even a short yet high-speed drive on one. You know the importance of having a fairing on your bike. Aside from the fact that it stops you from being tossed around and buffeted by the wind as it beats you up. You also end up eating bugs like crazy and your fuel economy will suffer if you don’t happen to have one.

The Honda Valkyrie Rune: A rare and almost unique used motorcycle.

Posted by John Vincent on August 25, 2009

I’ve just seen what may possibly be the most individual, and maybe a little scary, motorcycle ever built. And it’s a Honda! The Valkyrie Rune looks like something that leapt out of the pages of a 1980’s sci-fi comic. Or a Sylvester Stallone film based on it. Wide tyres, wide tank, wide bars, wide everything! It’s a beast which begs you to break the law. So it can judge you.

Harley Davidson Celebrated 105 Years At The Top with Brakes In Their Hubs!

Posted by John Vincent on August 24, 2009

The year 2008 was Harley Davidson’s 105th anniversary which isn’t a particularly well recognised milestone I’ll admit but that didn’t stop them celebrating it with style as they have done every 5 years since God Knows when. It also happened to be the 25th Anniversary of H.O.G. – the Harley Owners Club – which was arguably more significant.

50cc Gas Mopeds Can Get You Around Town Just Fine

Posted by Frank Froggatt on August 23, 2009

When you buy a 50cc gas scooter you are getting into a vehicle that falls in between the vehicle category and the category classified as mopeds. Whether or not you are going to need a drivers license to operate one is going to vary from location to location as many countries and regions of the world classify them differently. Some of the countries in the EU will allow you to operate these scooters without a permit or license, but if you live in either France or Italy, you are going to be required to carry the minimum of a car drivers license to operate any “vehicle” up to 125cc. There has not been a lot of legislation on the subject of scooters, so no one has actually completely defined any concrete rules and regulations governing the use of such transportation.

Ruling The Highway With Harley Davidson

Posted by Gregory Paul on August 20, 2009

What comes to mind when someone mentions the word Harley Davidson? Personally, I think of power, machismo, and anything that is hard core. I imagine somebody with massive arms, scary tattoos of snakes and dragons, long salt and pepper hair, sleeveless black shirt, leather coattails, earrings and all the works. The Harley Davidson is a legendary giant that owns more than 50% of the US motorcycle market and it is a symbol of raw power.

Pocket Bikes – Why So Popular?

Posted by Eric Wagner on August 16, 2009

Pocket bikes are essentially miniature motorcycles, they have the same sleek look as real motorcycles but are much more affordable. Motorsport enthusiasts all over the globe are collecting pocket bikes to add to their collections. A pocketbike or minibike as they also are called, comes with all the parts of their full size cousins, but are only about two to three feet tall. They are usually powered by a four stroke or two stroke gas engine, but electrically powered models are also becoming increasingly popular. Pocketbikes can be a toy for a kid or a powerful racing machine for a pro racer. How you use it is up to you.

Electric Scooters Types And Buying Tips

Posted by Banga Koupit on August 15, 2009

The electric scooters work with the aid of motors and batteries that make them easy for traveling. While a variety of switches control speed [on/off or variable], the bicycle hand brakes are installed on the handlebars to keep the electric scooters under control. The batteries are generally placed beneath the feet thereby easing travel further. The speed of these scooters often vary dramatically ranging from below 10 mph for inexpensive import scooters to over 30 mph for the highest-speed scooters.

Introduction To Trikes

Posted by Banga Koupit on August 13, 2009

A trike is a motorized three wheeled vehicle, often with an appearance closer to a motorcycle than to a car. These machines have increased in popularity in recent years, being seen as an excellent alternative to motorbikes. There are strict definitions of what most owners think of a trike as being. A motorcycle with a sidecar is not, for instance, seen as being one, despite the fact that it has three wheels.
