Michigan auto insurance is a lot different from insurance elsewhere in the United States. Required by law in Michigan, no fault insurance has three basic parts. These are personal injury protection, property protection insurance and residual liability insurance (bodily injury and property damage coverage). If you want to register a car in Michigan, auto insurance has to be purchased, and you have to prove that you have it. 50cc scooters have an engine size that classifies them as small motorcycles or mopeds at the limit between the vehicle category and moped classes. Regulations vary betweenmany countries of the world, when it comes to the right to drive 50cc scooters with or without a driving license and common terms are seldom made. For example, in some EU countries you can ride such motorcycles without a driving license. The exceptions are France and Italy, where you need a car driving license to ride vehicles up to 125cc. There is quite a high level of legal ambiguity for the definition and classification of scooters.

When many people decide they want to get a scooter, they first think that they want something that will work well on surface streets and will not necessarily get up to dangerous speeds like a 150cc or larger scooter would. Many people decide that a 50cc scooter would really be ideal for their situation after a little bit of research, and they then set off to purchase their scooter.
